Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is hiring a Safety/Security Officer at the KY Veterans Center in Radcliff. This role protects residents, staff and property and supports transportation of veterans as needed.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident response, and coordinating with local authorities. Two years of security-related experience and a high school diploma are required; a valid driver’s license is also mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of military, security guard/officer, safety, corrections, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Transports resident veterans to appointments and outings.
• Provides safety and security duties.
• Performs patrols of the buildings and grounds.
• Secures all buildings and maintains daily logs of persons entering and leaving buildings.
• Performs duties as main switchboard operator when regular operator is absent.
