Job summary

ZT Systems seeks a Robotics Technician to own the day‑to‑day health of KUKA robotic arms in its Advanced Automation Infrastructure team. You will calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and recover systems to keep automated assembly operations running at peak performance.

You will work with KUKA field service and internal engineering on complex repairs, while maintaining detailed programs, calibration data, and maintenance records across robotic cells.

Qualifications

• Trade school cert in a technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in automated manufacturing.
• KUKA robotics experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic abilities across mechanical, electrical, controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain KUKA robotic systems, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose complex robot/controller/EOAT faults and minimize downtime.
• Develop critical spares strategy for rapid recovery of equipment.
• Collaborate with KUKA field service and internal engineering on repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain robot programs, configurations, and maintenance records.
• Analyze downtime trends and identify reliability improvements to boost availability.
• Cross-train and provide backup support for automated controls and mechanical systems.
