Job summary

ZT Systems in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Robotics Technician to own and optimize KUKA robotic cells within its Advanced Automation Infrastructure team. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and lead recovery when equipment goes down, keeping production flowing in a high-uptime environment.

The ideal candidate holds a technical trade-school certification with 6+ years in automated manufacturing and strong hands-on robotics skills, including programming and diagnostics,

Qualifications

• Trade school certification in a technical field is required.
• 6+ years in automated manufacturing with robotics experience.
• Strong hands-on robotics skills: programming, troubleshooting, calibration, mastering, axis/servo systems.
• KUKA experience highly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own KUKA robotic systems: maintain performance, calibration, maintenance.
• Diagnose faults across robot, controller, EOAT, and cells to minimize downtime.
• Develop a KUKA spare parts strategy for rapid recovery.
• Collaborate with KUKA field service and internal teams on repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain robot programs, configurations, calibration data, and maintenance records.
• Analyze performance and downtime to identify improvements and reliability gains.
• Cross-train and back up automated controls and mechanical systems.
