Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) is seeking a Senior Developer to join the Kubernetes Development team. You will onboard applications to the on‑prem Kubernetes Platform, enabling developers to move fast and scale with confidence.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Operations to drive adoption, promote best practices, and implement GitOps, CI/CD, and observability enhancements that improve developer productivity in a container-first environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development with hands-on on-prem container platforms.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu/VKS, Docker or Podman.
• Experience with Kubernetes observability tools (metrics, monitoring, logging, tracing).
• Strong CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions) and DevOps understanding.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Go, Python, Java, Node.js) and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Onboard applications to on-prem Kubernetes Platform in a standardized manner.
• Collaborate with Development, Platform Engineering, Operations to improve solutions and adoption.
• Advocate for container platform best practices for scalability and resiliency.
• Promote GitOps and CI/CD workflows with version-controlled deployments.
• Provide troubleshooting support for containerized apps and platform configs.
