Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Developer to join the Kubernetes Development team.

You will onboard development teams to our on-prem Kubernetes Platform and provide guidance to help them modernize applications in a container-first environment. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, development, and operations, with focus on GitOps, CI/CD automation, and container security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with on-prem container platform tech.
• Expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu/VKS, Docker and/or Podman.
• Experience with Kubernetes observability tools for metrics, monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Go, Python, Java, Node.js) and shell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on ability to troubleshoot containerized apps in Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Onboard development teams to the on-prem Kubernetes Platform in a standardized manner.
• Collaborate with Development, Kubernetes Platform Engineering, Operations to improve solutions for developers.
• Advocate container platform best practices for scalability, resiliency, and optimization.
• Promote and implement GitOps with CI/CD workflows and infrastructure management via versioned deployments.
• Provide support for containerized apps, platform configs, and connectivity issues.
• Create documentation, best practices, and onboarding materials; lead trainings and workshops.
• Gather feedback from teams to improve onboarding, tooling, and developer experience.
