Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Platform & Site Reliability to own the AWS cloud-native platform, Kubernetes clusters, and reliability tooling across regions. You will contribute to Java (Spring) and React frontends while enabling scalable, secure operations.

You will implement GitOps (ArgoCD), manage Istio service mesh, build robust monitoring, and lead reliability improvements, incident response, and runbook automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a STEM field.
• 5+ years in SRE, platform, DevOps, or software engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tech on AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps tooling.
• Proficiency in Java or TypeScript/JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Provisions, upgrades, and operates EKS clusters across regions.
• Manages cloud infrastructure declaratively with Crossplane and ArgoCD.
• Operates Istio service mesh with canary rollouts and mutual TLS.
• Develops monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger.
• Builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and security scanning.
• Writes technical specs and runbooks; mentors junior engineers.
