Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Engineering team in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code for automated deployment of a Kubernetes-based enterprise product.

You will work on deploying multiple Kubernetes clusters, using AI-assisted automation, and collaborating with multi-discipline engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for naval applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT/CS/Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional software development/deployment experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Helm or ArgoCD for Kubernetes management.
• Knowledge of virtualization and networking in virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and contribute to IaC for automated multi-site deployments.
• Debug and fix deployment/configuration issues across Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement secure coding practices and support IDT lab testing.
• Coordinate with engineers across disciplines to deliver solutions.
