Job summary

New Relic is seeking a skilled engineer to shape and operate a global Kubernetes-based platform. You will own platform orchestration, build automation, and manage Day 1/Day 2 operations across production environments to ensure high availability.

You’ll work with Go for systems programming, contribute to modern infrastructure tooling, and participate in incident response to maintain reliability at scale. This role supports a flexible workforce model, including remote or hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Experience administering production Kubernetes environments.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes primitives and custom operators.
• Proficient in Go for systems programming and automation.
• Production incident management and monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Platform orchestration across a massive Kubernetes infrastructure to ensure availability and reliability.
• Develop internal tooling to reduce manual work and streamline platform delivery.
• Manage Day 1 and Day 2 operations for Kubernetes clusters with modern scaling.
• Collaborate with engineering to handle production incidents calmly and efficiently.
