Job summary

BBBSNEI is seeking a Kosciusko County Site-Based Match Support Specialist to support site-based Littles and Bigs in Warsaw, IN. This role operates in a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration with field activities and program coordination.

You will interview and screen, recruit volunteers, develop trainings, supervise case managers, and maintain records while building strong partnerships with schools and social services. A bachelor’s degree in behavioral science is required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of social work philosophy, principles and methods.
  • Procuring and/or coordinating community resources.
  • Ability to analyze behavior significance, formulate a plan of action.
  • Most hours will occur Monday-Friday between 8 am – 3 pm between August-May.
  • Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to manage time wisely & multi-task.
  • Professional attitude and manner.
  • Ability to relate well to adults and youths of all demographics and socioeconomic status.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Emotional maturity, good judgment, integrity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and implement training, education, and incentives for volunteers.
  • Supervise individual cases, Site-Based matches, provide case management services, and maintain records.
  • Attend program staff meetings.
  • Meet bi-weekly with supervisor to discuss casework management.
  • Keep a monthly casework summary report.
  • Attend training to further case management and professional skills.
  • Provide staff supervision of case managers when designated.
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure site-based youth and volunteers pass through applications efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools and social services agencies.
  • Participate in public relations and fundraising projects.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

1. Interview, assess, and screen individuals for needed services, including but not limited to providing support for other staff in processing site-based Littles and Bigs.

2. Work with appropriate staff to ensure timeliness in processing volunteers.

3. Actively recruit and market volunteers, with the focus on Site-Based – Bigs in Schools volunteer recruitment. In addition, provide input and assistance in collaboration with the marketing department in recruiting Bigs.

4. Develop, maintain, and implement training, education, and incentives for volunteers, in collaboration with the Site-Based Team Lead.

5. Supervise individual cases, Site-Based matches, provide case management services, maintain casework records, and report on matches. Follow timelines outlined in SOPs to do so.

6. Attend program staff meetings.

7. Meet bi-weekly or as determined with supervisor to discuss casework management.

8. Keep a monthly casework summary report, as determined by supervisor.

9. Attend training to further case management and other professional skills as scheduled and directed by supervisor.

10. Provide staff supervision of case managers when designated and deemed appropriate by supervisor.

11. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that Site-Based youth and volunteers are brought through the application process effectively and efficiently.

12. Develop and maintain relationships with schools and social services agencies as assigned by supervisor.

13. Participate in public relations and fund-raising projects as requested by agency management.

Perform other duties required by agency management and deemed necessary by supervisor

SUPERVISION

  • Report to the Site-Based Match Support Team Lead.
  • 90 Day Review and Annual Reviews

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Starting hourly rate: $17- $21 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience

Available benefits: 401k after 90 days & PTO after 1 year

EDUCATION

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field.
