Sealed Air is seeking a production technician in North Carolina to operate packaging lines, set up machines, and monitor operations to meet production specs. You will use computer systems to adjust run conditions, perform start-ups and shut-downs, and follow SOPs for safe, efficient performance.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning equipment safety checks, quality testing of film samples, and production reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is desired.
• Ability to make sound decisions and follow guidelines.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills.
• High safety awareness.
• Ability to solve problems with critical thinking.
• Teamwork and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to operate cranes, forklift and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to produce finished goods to production specifications.
• Safely stop equipment during normal conditions and emergencies.
• Sets machine up to SOC using appropriate conditions.
• Uses a computer system to set run conditions and adjusts as necessary within SOC.
• Performs line start up and line shutdown.
• Understands and safely operate equipment.
• Follows SOPs to operate the line safely and efficiently.
• Uses production reporting systems to fulfill job functions.
• Safely operates lab equipment.
• Understands quality lab equipment and tests film samples safely.
