Job summary

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics seeks Korean interpreters for IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, mental health evaluations, and more. Interpreters must have daytime availability.

Location is Wilmington, Delaware — in-person. This flexible role lets you choose cases and hours while delivering professional Korean/English interpretation and excellent customer service to students and families.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Korean is required.
• Daytime availability of at least 5 hours per week (between 8 AM - 4 PM).
• Access to reliable transportation is required.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required.
• Background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry is required.
• CMI, CCHI, etc., certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to local client sites within the Wilmington, Delaware area.
• Provide Korean/English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Full fluency in both English and Korean
• Daytime availability of at least 5hours per week (between the hours of 8AM - 4PM)
• Availability to support our interpreting clients when needed
• Access to reliable transportation
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required
• Candidates mustbe willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry
• Must have reliable phone service for contact
• Must be comfortable withsmart phone for job input
