Job summary

KPOT | Colorado Springs is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher to help keep our busy restaurant running smoothly. You will be part of a fast-paced team delivering great guest experiences and supporting cooks during service.

In this role you will stand for long periods, assist in food prep, maintain clean workspaces, manage routine tasks, and communicate clearly with front-of-house about allergy orders. No prior kitchen experience is required but a willingness to learn and a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Standing/walking for long shifts.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to KPOT's standards.
• Assist in food preparation and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Manage time to ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and all dishes are ready for use.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the front-of-house and management regarding allergy orders.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
