Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen and guest-focused dining experience. You will help with prep, cooking, cleaning, and coordination with front-of-house to ensure timely service.

Ideal candidates are adaptable, team-oriented, and capable of handling heat and noise while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Stand/walk for up to 8–10 hours per shift.
• Lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, repetitive movements.
• Work in heat, cold, and noisy environments.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior kitchen experience is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to KPOT standards.
• Assist in food prep and ensure ingredients are fresh and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Communicate with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
• Manage time to ensure dishes are ready for use and served promptly.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with front-of-house and management about allergy orders.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, hospitality-focused attitude.
• Be a team player and support colleagues to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Additional duties as assigned.
