Job summary

Next Level Technician in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our field team. You will install and test structured cabling and low voltage infrastructure on commercial and industrial sites.

The role offers weekly pay, competitive hourly wages of $22–$24, and benefits, with opportunities for hands-on training and career growth through BICSI-aligned programs. Local travel to nearby sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred.
• BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus.
• Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
• Working knowledge of telecom and data network fundamentals.
• Willingness to travel locally to job sites throughout the Knoxville and East Tennessee area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Test installed cable using Fluke or similar certification testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable tray systems, cabinets, MDF/IDF setups, and related infrastructure.
• Work safely from ladders and lifts (must be comfortable with heights).
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and system layouts.
• Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, and fiber optic systems.
