Job summary

Next Level Technician in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Low Voltage Helper to assist with cabling, installation of voice/data systems, and related infrastructure. The role involves manual labor, lifting, and working on ladders, under the supervision of experienced technicians.

The position offers weekly pay, competitive hourly wages ($18–$21), and benefits with opportunities for career growth within the company’s national network. Training in structured cabling and security systems is provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction or low voltage experience preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction practices.
• Experience pulling cable or assisting with commercial installations is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to local job sites.
• Ability to lift and work in active construction environments.
• Comfortable working from ladders and elevated work platforms.
• Must have basic PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with pulling, dressing, and labeling CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Support the installation of voice, data, and security system infrastructure.
• Help install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, and related equipment.
• Organize materials, tools, and job site work areas.
• Assist with terminating and testing low voltage cabling.
• Follow blueprints, floor plans, and project layouts under technician supervision.
• Work safely on ladders and lifts when required.
• Assist with access control, CCTV, audio/visual, and fiber optic installations.
