Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Knowledge Manager to design and stand up the PMO's knowledge management structure for the USSPACECOM program. You will ensure decision-quality information reaches leadership and staff and that knowledge is captured, organized, and retrievable.

You will lead governance, implement Teams and SharePoint ecosystems, build document libraries with taxonomy and metadata, and develop AI-use guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in knowledge management with DoD or federal environment.
• Experience configuring Teams/SharePoint environments with libraries and permissions.
• Knowledge of AFRIMS and DoD records directives.
• Ability to draft clear policy and procedural documentation.
• Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Establish knowledge management structure for the PMO with governance and roles.
• Design and organize the PMO's Teams environment and file taxonomy.
• Build the PMO's document library with metadata standards and version control.
• Enforce naming conventions for files and content retrieval.
• Manage SharePoint sites, drives, and access permissions.
• Use GenAI tools to draft, summarize, and organize content; develop AI guidelines.
• Plan meetings, capture minutes, and track action items.
• Train staff on knowledge tools and procedures.
• Audit repositories for duplicates and compliance; report metrics to leadership.
