Job summary

North Wind Design in Huntsville, AL; multiple site options nationwide, seeks a Knowledge Manager to lead document control, information governance, and PMIS administration for MILCON programs. This role coordinates project documentation across government and contractor teams and ensures compliance with contracts and standards.

Responsibilities include developing workflows, dashboards, and training materials, while maintaining audit-ready records and supporting knowledge sharing throughout project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years in document control, records management, project controls, knowledge management, or PMIS administration.
• Minimum 3 years supporting Federal MILCON projects (DoD/USACE/NAVFAC).

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain PMIS (Kahua and other platforms).
• Develop and manage document control procedures, workflows, and records management processes.
• Establish project filing structures, retention, and naming conventions.
• Coordinate receipt, review, distribution, tracking, storage, and archival of docs.
• Manage workflow for submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and approvals.
• Monitor document status, review cycles, action items, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with contractual/agency standards and policies.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and PMIS-based metrics.
• Provide system administration, user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Coordinate information sharing among project managers, construction teams, government personnel, designers, and contractors.
• Perform quality reviews and ensure completeness/consistency of records.
• Support configuration management, project controls, and closeout documentation.
• Facilitate knowledge capture and lessons learned during project execution.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for reviews and assessments.
