Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Chicago is seeking a knowledge management professional to own the KM relationship for 3–4 North American business units, partnering with stakeholders to improve KM processes and connect them to the global KM strategy and toolkit.

You will contribute to the design of global capabilities, support cross-regional initiatives, share knowledge, and promote KM best practices to drive scalable solutions and measurable value through AI-enabled knowledge management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a knowledge management role.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading projects from inception to completion with stakeholders.
• Experience in a professional services or consultancy firm.
• Proven experience with KM technology (e.g., SharePoint libraries, AI-enabled search).
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day KM relationship for 3–4 North American business units and expand the portfolio over time.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business units and the central KM team to maximize KM adoption and value.
• Lead projects to build and refine business-unit KM processes and tools with cross‑functional collaboration.
• Monitor and provide routine support for KM processes and tools (libraries, taxonomies, search, communities).
• Provide advice and recommendations based on KM best practices.
• Contribute to global KM strategy by designing and building global capabilities and tools and extending them to new areas of the business.
• Support KM initiatives regionally and globally, sharing knowledge and cross-pollinating ideas.
• Promote KM best practices and knowledge sharing across the firm.
• Identify KM trends and promote adoption of new tools across the region and firm.
