Target Corp. seeks an Associate Designer for A New Day Knits and Sweaters in Minneapolis. You will support Owned Brand Product Design with direction from design leaders to achieve product design strategy and merchant objectives, translating ideas into CAD/hand sketches and preparing technical presentations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, research trends, develop specs, and contribute to color, embellishment, and hardware packages to ensure cohesive brand direction.

Competenze

• Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or similar area of study, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software.
• Ability to stay aware of Trends and Fashion.
• Understanding of textiles, garment construction/fit or raw materials & product production.
• Experience assimilating product feedback.
• Ability to research and apply market/trend information.
• Ability to build strong partnerships in order to successfully work in a team environment.

• Translate ideas using CAD/hand sketches and develop design/technical sketches.
• Prepare product specs and develop trim, print, embellishment, and hardware packages.
• Work with Technical Design to communicate fit and construction details.
