Job summary

LOFT is seeking an Associate Designer for the Sweaters category. The role involves design, development, and selection of materials, silhouettes, colors and patterns, supporting fabric research and development up to production.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate information flow, manage technical packages, and contribute to concept reviews and line reviews. Strong presentation skills and organized work style are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in Fashion Design; Sweaters experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Design, Product Development, Technical Design and Merchandising to ensure accurate information flow.
• Manage technical package process: drawings, measurements and design details for hand-off to Product Development.
• Create sketches and updates using Adobe Illustrator and hand sketching.
• Maintain knowledge of line silhouettes, yarns/fabrics, and design details; track changes.
• Participate in concept reviews, line-building recaps, and line reviews; coordinate changes across teams.
• Identify seasonal fashion direction, assortment opportunities and merchandise trends for the area of responsibility.
• Design presentation boards; research competitive market and present results and deductions to Designer.
