Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

We are looking for a driven Kitting Process Manager to design, stand up, and launch robust kitting and material flow processes that support our overhaul operations. This role is primarily focused on building effective kitting processes from the ground up so that production receives accurate, complete kits on time. Defining how kits are planned, prepared, sequenced, and delivered, you will own the end-to-end development of kitting workflows, create the necessary standards and tools, and execute the new processes for sustained use on the production floor.

What You Will Do
  • Design and develop kitting processes from the ground up, including parts grouping logic, sequencing, visual aids, packaging standards, and ergonomic workstation layouts.
  • Analyze current material flow and kitting-related activities, identify gaps and bottlenecks, and implement solutions that reduce kit preparation time, minimize inventory discrepancies, and eliminate non-value-added steps.
  • Create and maintain complete kitting documentation (standard operating procedures, visual work instructions, kit bills of materials, and training materials).
  • Develop and implement standard work, visual management systems, and error-proofing solutions to ensure the new kitting processes run reliably and accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality) to validate process designs, secure buy-in, and drive successful implementation.
  • Lead process mapping, time studies, and root-cause analysis as needed to inform the design and refinement of kitting workflows.
  • Apply Lean principles and structured problem-solving to ensure the processes you stand up are efficient, waste‑free, and aligned with operational goals such as on‑time delivery and quality.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree 5 years of operations and/or logistics experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of operations and/or logistic experience; or an Associates degree with 7 years of experience or "in lieu of degree" with 9 years of experience 1 year of ERP/MRP systems.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with C.O.R.E., Lean, Six Sigma, or similar structured improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in process mapping, workflow design, and creating standard work.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to guide process design decisions.
  • Familiarity with material kitting, kit-to-order, or related material preparation processes.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or standing up operational processes (preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or material handling environments).
  • Experience leading complex projects, navigating adversity, and driving alignment in cross‑functional environments.
