Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a hands‑on Process Engineer to support the Microwave Automated Factory in RF assembly. You will work with cross‑functional teams to address production challenges and implement material and process improvements in a cleanroom environment.

You will be part of a fast‑paced team, operating on a 3rd shift schedule, and you must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance. The role emphasizes reliability, documentation, and cross‑functional problem solving.

Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree or equivalent 2-year post‑high school training with several years of related experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience operating automated assembly equipment is required.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Microwave Automated Factory in high‑volume, high‑mix production with on‑site response to equipment and process issues.
  • Collaborate with product, quality, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to implement process improvements.
  • Develop and validate materials, processes, and production support using SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate materials, equipment and processes and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Work on shift: 3rd shift, onsite from 10:30PM to 6:30AM.

We are subject matter experts for processes and materials in a cleanroom environment which focuses on radiofrequency (RF) microelectronic packaging and surface mount technology. This hands‑on role confronts new projects and challenges every day and requires cross‑functional collaboration in both cutting‑edge automation and mature production processes. We develop and implement materials and process improvements to our factory, while providing production support using a variety of analytical techniques, including statistical process control, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis. We perform the evaluation of materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues. What You Will Do

Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high‑volume, high‑mix production with on‑site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems. Support assembly processes involving automated epoxy component attachment and Radiofrequency (RF) Assembly. Work hand‑in‑hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing. Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis. Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues. This role is for 3rd shift, onsite position (10:30PM‑6:30AM).

Qualifications
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
We Prefer
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems, MS Word and Excel
  • Experience in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures
  • Experience with automated dispense, pick‑and‑place, and curing processes
  • Experience working on a team
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and problem solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and work in fast‑paced environment

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD.
