Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Material Coordinator to optimize material flow, coordinate production schedules, and manage inventory across multiple departments. The role requires strong attention to detail and proven experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Plex.

You will support and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely material availability and accurate records, while upholding safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of material flow processes, production scheduling, and inventory management.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, job orders, and shipping requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Plex preferred) for tracking and controlling materials.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements.
• Establish sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
• Examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive to root cause.
• Compiles and maintains records such as material inventory and status and location of materials.
• Move materials between departments and assist in cycle counting under Data Integrity.
