Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking an Inventory Analyst to monitor and optimize inventory levels to support production and operations. You will maintain system data accuracy, perform cycle counts, and analyze discrepancies to drive cost efficiency.

You will also work with ERP/MRP systems (Plex preferred), develop small automation programs, and collaborate across manufacturing teams to improve processes and data quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control principles (cycle counting, Kanban, FIFO/LIFO).
• Understanding of supply chain, logistics and materials management.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production workflows.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Plex preferred).
• Understanding of demand planning and forecasting techniques.
• Awareness of safety and compliance standards for inventory handling.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Six Sigma).
• Understanding of cost accounting and inventory impact on financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system data accuracy and inventory flow while handling changes.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to root causes.
• Drive continuous improvements of software systems and standard practices across departments.
• Develop small programs/tools to support reporting beyond ERP capabilities.
• Process scrap, oversee EDI data and Plex transactions; manage change notices.
