Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a General Utility to maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary condition. The role assists in food preparation and supports the TSFR Roadmap with core values.

The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment with occasional outdoor tasks. Team collaboration and safety are emphasized on site.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, lift, stand for long periods and work in a hot/damp environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine (50%).
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine (15%).
• Completes all assigned prep work (10%).
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%).
• Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors (5%).
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%).
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine (5%).
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Works indoors (90%), outdoors (10%).
• Works in a hot and damp environment and responds to emergencies to avoid danger.
