Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Joliet, IL is seeking a Kitchen Team Member who will deliver top-notch customer service while keeping the deli area clean, stocked, and inviting. No experience is required; we will train you to prepare fresh salads, sandwiches, and other deli items.

You will work with a friendly team, follow food safety guidelines, and have opportunities for cross-training in other roles. The position offers flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay ($15.00–$20.00), and benefits after 30

• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the deli, coffee bars, and related areas.
• Accurately prepare deli items: salads, sandwiches, wraps, and parfaits.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of the deli area and fountain/coffee bars.
• Assist other store colleagues and cross-train in cashier or maintenance roles.
• Follow all food safety policies and procedures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
