Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in North Utica, IL is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to interact with customers, prepare deli items, and keep the deli area clean and well stocked. You will learn the menu, follow safety guidelines, and assist in coffee and fountain bars as needed.

No prior experience is required; we provide training. You may cross-train in other departments; ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures is expected.

• Customer service oriented with friendly demeanor.
• Willing to learn and cross-train in other areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service, answer menu questions, and assist deli/cashier teams.
• Accurately prepare deli items including salads, sandwiches, and wraps.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of the deli, coffee and fountain areas.
• Follow food safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Potential cross-training in other store roles as needed.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
