Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Kitchen Team Member in Edna, TX. You will deliver top‑notch customer service, keep the deli area clean and stocked, and learn to prepare a variety of fresh deli items. Training is provided, no prior experience required, and a welcoming team environment awaits.

You will handle food preparation, assist in keeping the dining area tidy, and have opportunities to cross‑train in other roles while maintaining a positive, customer‑focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and friendly communication.
• Able to follow food safety guidelines and procedures.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in other store roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with menu questions and store inquiries.
• Prepare deli items per guidelines (salads, sandwiches, fruit, parfaits).
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking of deli, coffee, and fountain areas.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Move/lift up to 25+ pounds and work in varying temps.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top‑notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross‑training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
