Job summary

AC&T is seeking a Kitchen team member in Boonsboro, MD, to prepare food and serve customers promptly and courteously. This non-exempt hourly role reports to the Kitchen Manager and involves a range of kitchen duties, from prep and baking to dishwashing and inventory management.

Applicants should be 18+, able to read/write English, and able to handle physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age or have a work permit.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to react to a fire by lifting a 20-pound fire extinguisher and move it to the fire area.
• Must tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Must be able to work in a cooler at 38°F for up to 15 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Operate stove, oven, and steamer; handle pots up to five gallons.
• Prepare salads, break down products for immediate use, and create items for all units and catering orders.
• Bake and steam ingredients and transport them as needed.
• Wash dishes; maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
• Assist with duties as assigned by the manager.
