Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in kitchen or food prep preferred but on-the-job training provided.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handlers Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation assistance including chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
• Operate kitchen equipment (stoves, ovens, grills) per Mia's Table standards.
• Oversee inventory and communicate with kitchen manager to restock items.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and utensils for efficient prep.
• Store and label food properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Coordinate with chefs, sous-chefs, and dishwashers for timely prep and service.
• Adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
