Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a dependable kitchen team member to assist with breakfast and lunch service across serving lines, prep, and production tasks. You will follow menu plans, operate equipment, and maintain cleanliness and food safety.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, reading comprehension, basic math, and the physical stamina to stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with occasional catering. Pay rates vary by state and position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Able to follow recipes, maintain FIFO, and ensure proper food safety logs.
• Comfortable operating kitchen equipment and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Assist in food preparation according to menu plans and recipes.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep areas clean and organized; follow HACCP and safety procedures.
• Maintain inventory, restock items, and assist with dishwashing tasks.
