Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Deli Host to greet guests, stock the deli area, and deliver friendly, efficient service. The role emphasizes customer interaction, food prep guidance, and maintaining a clean, inviting deli space throughout the shift.

No prior experience is required— training will be provided to teach menu items, food safety practices, and store procedures while you gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred; willingness to be trained.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in varied temperatures.
• Ability to work as part of a store team to support deli and coffee areas.
• Follow food safety procedures and preparation guides for deli items.
• Cross-training possible in other departments.
• No experience required—training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions about menu offerings.
• Assist cashier team with cleaning and maintaining deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Prepare deli items such as salads, sandwiches and parfait cups per guides.
• Follow company policies and food safety procedures.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
