Job summary

The Blue Porch is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to support all back-of-house duties and help deliver great food and service experiences. You will prepare and assemble dishes, coordinate timing with other stations, and ensure orders are complete and accurate for the Service Team.

You will clean and organize kitchen spaces, maintain safety and sanitation standards, receive deliveries, and support training for new teammates as directed by leadership.

Responsibilities

• Meeting restaurant standards and cooking recipes to exact specifications.
• Prepares and produces menu items in various kitchen stations, meeting all established standards and recipe specifications.
• Communicates timing with other stations to ensure all items are ready at the same time for each order.
• Cleans and organizes walk-in coolers, food production areas, equipment, and general kitchen areas.
• Washes dishes as needed and ensures safety and sanitary standards are met.
• Assembles and expedites accurate and complete orders for the Service Team.
• Stores food and chemicals per HACCP, OSHA, and sanitation guidelines.
• Organizes food production by hanging tickets for Kitchen Team Members.
• Assists in receiving and putting away deliveries.
• Completes required training and trains new Kitchen Team Members as directed by leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Blue Porch – Kitchen Team MemberThe Kitchen Team Member at The Blue Porch is responsible for all of the duties required in the Back of House to create great food and service experiences. The Kitchen Team Member delivers well executed recipes through food prep and cooking that meet the restaurant’s standards to delight the guests. The Kitchen Team Member assembles dishes to expedite complete orders so the Service Team can deliver complete orders to our guests. The Kitchen Team Member washes dishes.
