Job summary

Texas Roadhouse in Texas City is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support the Kitchen Manager in daily Back of House operations, including ordering, receiving, preparation, and presentation of food. You will supervise food production, enforce policies, manage tickets, inventory, safety, and staff development while maintaining high food quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising food production for a high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to train and develop Back of House staff.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience with inventory control and waste tracking.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and oversees the production of food
• Enforces employment policies within area of responsibility
• Monitors tickets and manages pace during peak hours
• Oversees Back of House staff and assists with serving, hosting, and cooking as needed
• Conducts line Taste and Temp checks
• Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of items
• Manages inventory and tracks waste per Kitchen Manager direction
• Maintains cleanliness and equipment upkeep
• Ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales
• Follows safe food handling procedures
• Develops Back of House employees and maintains a safe environment
• Maintains restaurant cleanliness and guest safety at all times
• Upholds restaurant culture and core values daily
