Chick-fil-A Great Lakes Crossing is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to oversee BOH operations during shifts, coach teammates, and ensure food safety and quality. Openings include day and evening shifts with both full-time and part-time hours. Training provided to those with leadership potential.

You will work to balance speed, accuracy, and customer care while maintaining Chick-fil-A standards and fostering a positive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of leadership experience (restaurant or other industry).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Willingness to learn, coachable, and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct Kitchen/Back of House operations during your scheduled shift.
• Assign Team Members to positions supporting operational success.
• Coach, motivate, and develop Team Members with real-time feedback.
• Communicate needs and priorities with the Hospitality Team Lead.
• Maintain food safety, quality, cleanliness, and adherence to recipes.
• Ensure compliance with Chick-fil-A standards and efficient service.

What You Will Do

As aKitchen Team Leader, you are primarily responsible for:

• Leading and directingKitchen/Back of Houseoperations during your scheduled shift
• Assessing business needs throughout the shift and assigning Team Members to positions that best support operational success
• Coaching, motivating, and developing Team Members with real-time feedback and accountability
• Partnering with the Hospitality Team Lead to communicate business needs, staffing adjustments, and operational priorities
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, food quality, cleanliness, and operational procedures
• Ensuring team members are following recipes, procedures, and Chick-fil-A standards
• Balancing food quality, speed of service, accuracy, and team care when making operational decisions

Some responsibilities of all Team Members include:

• Provide a safe, welcoming, and kind environment for all Customers and Team Members
• Execute all procedures as laid out by leaders (this includes Food Safety, Service, and Cleanliness models)
• Work hard in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
• Proactively contribute to the cleanliness of both Customer and Team Member areas
• Respect your teammates by being on time for shifts

Specific Kitchen Team Lead job duties include:

• Work as aline cookandprep cook, preparing every meal with care and consistency
• Handlefood prep - portioning, breading, and prepping ingredients - with a strong focus on food safety and quality
• Move with urgency and stay productive from the moment your shift starts
• Keep yourkitchenstation clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Display grit and positivity, particularly during rush periods
• Own your impact on the Customer experience
