Job summary

Insights Training Group, LLC is hiring for the Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center Food Services position in Prestonsburg, KY. The role assists cooks and the Food Services Manager with meal prep, serving, and sanitation of the dining facility and equipment.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down serving lines, maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area, rotating perishable items, serving with courtesy to students and staff, and helping with dishes and waste management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and three months related experience and/or training.
• Prior experience in food service strongly preferred.
• NRA Food Service Sanitation or Serve Safe.

Responsibilities

• Assists the cooks and Food Services Manager in preparing, serving, and sanitation of the dining facility, equipment, and surfaces.
• Set up and breakdown of serving line.
• Keep the dining and kitchen area clean and organized.
• Notify staff of items that need to be replenished and restocked.
• Rotate perishable items to ensure freshness.
• Serve students, staff, and guests in a pleasant, efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
• Assist with dishes when necessary.
• Change and empty trash receptacles.
• Follow safety and sanitary rules related to food handling.
• Support in inventory of expendable and non-expendable supplies.
