Kitchen Supervisor | Bob's Steak & Chop House

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, located next to the Paycom Center (OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across from Scissortail Park. Our property features multiple dining outlets, a spa, fitness center, rooftop pool and bar, and extensive meeting spaces.

Job Description

The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen and food production, ensuring costs are minimized and standards are met. They will implement company policies, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and oversee food quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager with budgeting, including food costs and payroll, and control overheads to meet budgets.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through smooth daily operations.
  • Create recipes and production methods.
  • Maintain control over purchasing and receiving standards, working with the purchasing manager and general manager.
  • Evaluate product quality, yield, wastage, and market price.
  • Forecast food volumes to maximize profitability and avoid over/underproduction.
  • Develop new banquet menus as needed.
  • Inspect all food service sections during service to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Manage equipment and schedule maintenance.
  • Organize and control food production staff scheduling and overtime.
  • Establish effective procedures for handling menus, purchasing, and records.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proven culinary skills with leadership ability.
  • Ability to train staff and ensure high-quality service.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
