Job summary

EOS Hospitality Hamilton Employee LLC is hiring for a Kitchen Lead at Hamilton Hotel, Washington, DC. The role supports executive chefs on daily kitchen operations, including line work during service and coordinating special dinners with the culinary team.

The successful candidate will bring at least 1 year of kitchen leadership experience, strong cooking and food safety knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a kitchen leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chefs in daily kitchen operations, including working on the line during service.
• Assist in ordering supplies, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring quality.
• Work closely with the Chefs to manage groups and special dinners, ensuring culinary needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working order and report issues to the Chefs.
• Assist in developing and implementing SOPs for the kitchen and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chefs in the daily operations of the kitchen, including working on the line during service times.
• Assist in ordering supplies and ingredients, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring that all products are of the highest quality.
• Work closely with the Chefs to manage groups and special dinners, ensuring that all culinary needs are met and exceeded.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working order and report any issues to the Chefs for prompt resolution.
• Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the kitchen, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to excellence.
