Job summary

White Lodging in Austin, TX is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel’s Stewarding team, including dishwashing, utensil cleaning, and maintaining sanitation standards across kitchen, restaurants, banquets, IRD and rooms.

You will plan workloads, train staff on chemical handling and PPE, coordinate with banquet and culinary teams for events, monitor temperatures and sanitation logs, and ensure safe, efficient cleaning operations throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years supervisory experience in a hospitality environment.
• High School degree or GED preferred.
• Food Handlers Certification completed.
• Stable work history and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Plan work for Stewards and assign tasks within the hotel.
• Coordinate with Executive Steward on recycling and educate staff.
• Train associates on chemical handling, PPE, SDS and storage.
• Order supplies with Purchasing and manage inventory.
• Coordinate with Banquets/Culinary for events and plate up needs.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings and communicate operations.
• Supervise cleaning of floors, surfaces, and equipment.
• Maintain sanitation and temperature logs and ensure HACCP compliance.
• Lead with third-party contracts in business and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
