Job summary

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in Florida is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding areas, ensuring sanitary silverware, glassware, and chinaware for all departments.

The role requires English proficiency, prior kitchen or stewarding experience, and knowledge of sanitation standards. You will follow dress codes, assist in banquet service when needed, and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Must understand and speak English clearly.
• Prior kitchen experience and ability to maintain a clean work area.
• Knowledge of sanitation and local health requirements.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Must have manual dexterity for sharp objects.
• Flexible schedule including days/nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and surrounding areas.
• Ensure proper washing of china, glass, and silverware per guidelines.
• Adhere to schedules, dress code, and sanitation policies.
• Assist in plate up/dish up for banquets when needed.
• Report maintenance issues and follow through with kitchen supervisor.
• Support kitchen management and communicate effectively.
