Alltown Fresh is seeking a Steward to join our family. The Steward will advance expertise by maintaining kitchens and preparing food, ensuring safety and cleanliness across the station.

The role involves prepping ingredients, labeling, stocking, communicating needs to the Chef, and handling daily cleaning and occasional catering deliveries. Flexible hours and reliable transit are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic knife skills are required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are needed.
• Basic food preparation skills are required.
• Understanding of safe food handling and storage is required.
• Vocational or Technical Education is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep.
• Labeling and stocking ingredients and keeping a clean, organized workspace.
• Communicating inventory and kitchen needs to Chef.
• Following safe food handling procedures.
• Rotating stock and storing produce at proper temperatures.
• Maintaining the dish station and washing dishes as needed.
• Carrying out daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
• Emptying trash daily.
• Maintaining a sanitary work environment.
• Making catering deliveries as needed.
