Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Steward to support our Alltown Fresh kitchen, focusing on proper kitchen maintenance and food preparation. You will work with a culinary team to prep ingredients, label and stock, and ensure a clean, organized workspace while following safe food handling procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knife skills required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours including mornings, weekends or holidays.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Basic food preparation skills required.
• Understanding of safe food handling and storage.
• Vocational or Technical Education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with culinary team to prep ingredients using state-of-the-art equipment.
• Label and stock ingredients; keep workspace organized and efficient.
• Communicate inventory and kitchen needs to Chef.
• Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Rotate stock and store produce at proper temperatures.
• Own the dish station; keep area stocked and clean; wash dishes as needed.
• Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Empty trash daily and maintain a sanitary workspace.
• Assist with catering deliveries as needed.
