Job summary

Viceroy Hotels and Resorts in Sun Valley, Idaho, is seeking a Kitchen Steward to uphold cleanliness and organization across our resort kitchens. This role supports culinary and food & beverage operations while ensuring sanitation and safety standards.

You may assist with basic food preparation and prep duties as needed, work across multiple outlets, and help maintain equipment and supplies, reporting to leadership with any shortages or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work - ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to stand during entire shift and endure temperature variations.
• Commitment to sanitation, safety, and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout kitchens and stewarding areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean, sanitize, and store china, glassware, silverware, and utensils.
• Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following sanitation procedures.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in kitchen, restaurant, and stewarding areas.
• Assist with banquet, restaurant, café, pool, and event culinary operations as needed.
• Support buffet setup, breakdown, and operational readiness.
• Assist with basic food preparation and prep cook responsibilities when required.
• Return cleaned wares to proper storage and report shortages or maintenance issues.
