Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Dishroom Clerk to keep the kitchen clean, equipment spotless, and food preparation areas safe. You will support the Market Grille team by maintaining hygiene, handling waste, and assisting with various duties during shifts.

The role emphasizes prompt customer service, teamwork, and consistent cleanliness to help deliver great food and service to every customer in a fast-paced store setting.

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Standing and walking during shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
