• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and keep areas clean.
• Basic math skills for simple counting and register or inventory tasks.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn Hy-Vee policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans.
• Handle food safely and keep the work area clean and neat.
• Remove trash and manage department garbage to designated area.
• Answer phones and provide helpful service to customers.
• Work with coworkers as a team to ensure satisfaction and a pleasant environment.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain personal hygiene and dress standards per store guidelines.
