Job summary

The Valley Hotel, Curio by Hilton is seeking a flexible Steward/Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The position can be full- or part-time, providing hands-on cleaning, sanitation, and support for a busy dining operation.

Qualifications

• Some high school education or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have vision to see minute objects at arm’s length, read meters and controls.
• Must have dexterity to grasp dishes, push, pull, carry and lift racks, carts, and large trash bins.
• Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Gathers dirty dishware, rinses and stacks for washing.
• Loads dish racks on belt and positions for automatic washing.
• Operates automatic dishwashing equipment and dispenses detergents.
• Manually scrub pots, pans and equipment not washed automatically.
• Polish silver, stainless steel, and pewter to present clean equipment.
• Maintain dishwashing equipment and ensure health compliance.
• Keep dish room clean, sweep, mop, wipe counters, and organize shelves.
• Mop kitchen floors and clean work surfaces at end of shift.
• Empty trash cans and manage waste safely.
• Sweep loading dock and kitchen entrance areas for cleanliness.
