Compass Group USA at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a full and part-time Steward to maintain kitchen work areas and equipment. Night and weekend availability is required, and previous steward experience is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains kitchen work areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation equipment.
• Transports supplies between storage and work areas observing safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assists with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
