Job summary

TOTALTEC Inc. in Houston is seeking a dedicated Steward to support our culinary team, ensuring cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes and work areas in line with health and safety regulations.

You will wash and sanitize dishes and equipment, maintain floors and surfaces, assist chefs, manage basic inventory, and communicate kitchen needs to supervisors. Some shifts may include early mornings, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Food Safety or HACCP certification is an advantage (can be trained on the job).

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitation of dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness of floors, walls, and surfaces.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks.
• Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment.
• Inventory support and stock management.
• Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors.
• Uphold health and safety regulations.
