Job summary

Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina is seeking a part-time Steward to support our culinary team in keeping kitchens, back dock and buffet areas spotless and compliant with sanitation standards. You’ll handle heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, and reach-in coolers, while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in all kitchen areas.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls and floors.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and Safely sanitize china, glass and silver.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, kitchen and related equipment.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of restaurant buffet as required.
• Return clean items to storage with care to minimize breakage.
• Report maintenance needs on equipment and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Follow sanitation standards and keep designated areas swept, mopped and organized.
