Virginia Guesthouse is seeking a dedicated Steward to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment and support culinary and food service staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one. The role rewards teamwork, safety, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Engaging and pleasant personality.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Effective communication with team and guests.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Interact with team members to create a positive work environment.
• Maintain daily sanitation log for dish machine and pot wash.
• Ensure work areas are clean and ready for use.
• Lead recycling of cardboard and other green initiatives.
• Conserve energy and water; report leaks to supervisor.
• Prioritize safety in high-traffic areas to prevent accidents.
• Use proper dish and glass racks to prevent damage.
• Clean and sanitize equipment during slow periods to stay organized.
• Learn different kitchen tasks and develop new skills.
• Be ready to assist in other areas when needed.
• Engage guests and teammates with a genuine smile.
